The illuminated cornice with LightGuard® technology is a modern interior décor feature that can dramatically transform a tired old wall moulding, or give a flat, dull surface an impressive glow. Depending on our needs, it can act as an extra light source to light up the room, or simply add a subtle, romantic touch to the scheme.

Whatever the cornice is used for, it pays to rely on proven quality and modern manufacturing solutions. LightGuard® technology is a patented system developed by Mardom Decor specifically for our illuminated cornices. This solution has solved the familiar problem of LEDs showing through the material. Thanks to this patented technology, the Mardom Decor illuminated cornice is suitably densified during the production process, which allows the light to be beautifully diffused all around the cornice, ensuring an attractive interior finish and an excellent visual effect in every scheme. Mardom Decor is the first company on the market to have developed a system that eliminates the effect of LEDs showing through the surface of the cornice.

It is worth noting that LEDs showing through the material is an entirely natural phenomenon. Until now, the popular answer to this problem was to cover the LED strip with aluminium tape, thereby removing the issue of individual LEDs showing through the material as bright dots. It might seem that this is a small difference, one that does not significantly affect the installation process. In reality, using Light Guard® technology has simplified installation and considerably shortened the time it takes, not to mention doing away with aluminium tape altogether. According to studies, that time has been cut by up to 80%.

Our range includes a wide choice of decorative cornices to suit every interior style. Mardom Decor cornices are made from a high-quality material, PolyForce, which is resistant to scratches, moisture and UV rays. They are profiled for quick and easy fitting - simply bond the cornices with Fix Pro adhesive. The profiles also feature a dedicated recess, so the LED strip can easily be seated at the back of the cornice.

Our ceiling cornices have also been enhanced with LED technology, giving them an additional lighting function that not only conceals ceiling-mounted curtain rails, but also attractively lights up the space by the window.

Floor and ceiling cornices will bring a beautiful lighting effect to the room as well. By framing the room, they can become an extra and highly atmospheric source of light. A ceiling moulding elegantly finishes off even old plasterboard structures or suspended ceilings, refreshing the look of a dated scheme and giving it new brilliance.

Illuminated wall mouldings are also perfect for interior decoration, and can be used selectively - as a decorative feature above the bed, or right around the room as a moulding running at 1/3 of the room height.
