Decorating the house or the flat is something that awaits each and every one of us at some point in life. Before getting started on the interior design, we often browse through inspiration on the internet, themed articles or other content that helps us work out how we would like our own spaces to be laid out. We look at how our friends, our neighbours or celebrities have decorated their own four walls. This article, however, focuses on the way stucco mouldings and other decorative elements on walls, ceilings and floors transform an entire house or flat in the homes of the stars.

Decorative mouldings at Klaudia Halejcio's home

Klaudia Halejcio, an actress hugely popular in Poland, has shown just how interesting a wall can look when it is decorated with wall mouldings. The colour of the wall on which the ornament will appear certainly has a major influence on the final result. In living rooms painted white, as in this case, wall mouldings look outstanding, all the more so when they are arranged in an attractive pattern, as they are here. In similar interiors you could also consider a decorative skirting board or pilasters, or even long chandeliers hanging from the ceiling surrounded by decorative ceiling roses. That is how you can create a vintage, glamour or classic interior.

Inspiration from Katarzyna Tusk

Kasia Tusk, one of the best-known bloggers in Poland, has shown her home interiors richly decorated with stucco mouldings. In the photograph below, a great many decorative elements can be spotted. The decorative mouldings fixed to the wardrobe are the most striking of all. It is hard to tell which material has been used here, since both polystyrene and plaster can be used decoratively on furniture, but the wall mouldings are certainly a very elegant component in this interior. Looking further up, we see the ceiling stucco work, which in this case consists of artistic mouldings just below the ceiling as well as wall mouldings laid out across the ceiling. Although these are completely different types of moulding, they complement one another perfectly, creating a smooth transition between wall and ceiling. The stucco mouldings in this flat can certainly inspire a good many of us.

Stucco mouldings at Maffashion's home

The last of the arrangements is the relaxation lounge belonging to the actress and famous influencer Julia Kuczyńska, known as Maffashion. In the photograph below we see an exceptionally well-appointed interior, unquestionably intended as a chill-out zone. Looking downwards, we can pick out the classic skirting mouldings, which in this case gently separate the decorative elements of the wall from the floor panels. The stucco mouldings on the wall bring genuine style and a soothing symmetry. As well as softening the space between the walls and the ceiling, the decorative ceiling mouldings elegantly frame the whole. The richly decorated mirror in the middle of the wall, on the other hand, fits perfectly into this particular space despite belonging to a different decorative register.
