Suitable outdoor uses

Spruce falls within natural use class 1-2. For prolonged outdoor exposure it must be protected (wood stain, paint, or sheltered installation). Otherwise, go for thermally modified pine or larch on an exposed deck.

Typical uses: pergola fit-out beneath a roof, partly sheltered privacy screens, service boxing, frame cladding under a canopy.

Sections and grades

Planed AB grade spruce from 4.5×4.5 to 9×9 cm, exposed faces virtually free of black knots. For load-bearing structures (roof carpentry, framing), see our dedicated KVH C24 and BSH GL24 range.
