3 technical collections

  • Mapei adhesives — the European professional benchmark: Kerabond TE grey/white, Adesilex P9 white, Keraflex Maxi S1 deformable.
  • Grouts (Fugue) — coarse-grain lime, in beige, light grey, grey and graphite. For an authentic rustic aged look.
  • Impregnators / Primers — Formoplast Hydro-Grunt 1:3 (1 L and 5 L) bonding primer, Protect Guard MAT (1 L and 5 L) long-lasting water repellent.

How do you choose the right adhesive and grout for your tiles?

  1. Identify the substrate — Concrete, blockwork, plasterboard or existing tiling? Every substrate calls for a specific primer before bonding.
  2. Choose the adhesive to suit the use — Kerabond TE Mapei for dry interiors. Adesilex P9 for wet interiors (showers). Keraflex Maxi S1 for exteriors or large formats (deformable).
  3. Work out the quantity — Allow 3 to 5 kg of adhesive mortar per mÂČ for single buttering, 5 to 8 kg/mÂČ for outdoor double buttering.
  4. Apply the primer if required — On fresh concrete, existing tiling or an absorbent substrate: Formoplast Hydro-Grunt 1:3 (1 L or 5 L) diluted as per the instructions.
  5. Choose the grout for the look — Coarse-grain lime grout (beige, light grey, graphite) for a rustic aged effect. Traditional grout for a crisp contemporary finish.
  6. Impregnate once dry — Protect Guard MAT water repellent (1 L or 5 L) applied 28 days after installation to protect against water and UV.

Mapei is our professional benchmark: Kerabond TE (grey or white, interior), Adesilex P9 (white, all-purpose), Keraflex Maxi S1 (deformable, exterior and large formats). All compliant with the EN 12004 standard.
Keraflex Maxi S1 by Mapei or an equivalent rated class C2 S1 as a minimum to EN 12004. Essential for freeze/thaw resistance and for the thermal movement of an outdoor substrate.
Our Fugue range offers coarse-grained lime grouts (beige, light grey, graphite, grey) that reproduce the look of traditional hydraulic-lime joints. Apply with a grouting bag, then brush back to recess the joint slightly.
After at least 28 days of curing once laid. Apply Protect Guard MAT or Formoplast Hydro-Grunt 1:3 in two coats, 4 h apart. Renew every 5-10 years depending on exposure.
