Our C24 range

  • Scandinavian spruce C24 in sections from 4.5 × 9.5 to 4.5 × 22 cm — lengths 2.40-4.80 m or 5.10-6.00 m.
  • Pressure-treated pine C24 NTR in sections 4.5 × 9.5 / 4.5 × 14.5 / 4.5 × 19.5 cm — autoclave-treated, use class 3.

Scandinavian spruce or impregnated pine?

Scandinavian spruce C24 remains our core offer in graded sawn timber — Nordic softwood, CE marking, suitable drying, competitive price. Ideal for interior roof framing and sheltered structures.

Impregnated pine C24 NTR (autoclave-treated, use class 3) adds biocide protection against fungi and insects — recommended for exposed exterior structures (exposed open roof framing, covered terrace, carport).

Eurocode 5 and RE2020/RE2028 compliance

All C24 graded timber complies with Eurocode 5 for the design of timber structures. C24 sawn timber qualifies for the RE2020 targets and anticipates the RE2028 thresholds (1st January 2026, Ic construction 6.5 kg CO₂/yr/m² for multi-unit housing).

Both are strength class C24. KVH adds technical drying (moisture content ≤ 18 %) and finger-jointing to reach 13 m. Standard C24 is cheaper but can move after installation.
C24 NTR treated pine carries a biocide protection for exposed exterior use. C24 Scandinavian spruce is the better-priced option for interior roof structures or sheltered framing.
Yes — sawn timber graded C24 must carry the CE marking (EN 14081) to be used in regulated construction. Check the mark on every piece.
NTR (Non-Traité-Restraint or Nordic Type Rapport, depending on the standard) = the pine is pressure-impregnated in an autoclave with fungicidal and insecticidal salts, reaching use class 3 (exposed exterior, no ground contact).
