Impregnation vs. saturator vs. woodstain

Impregnation — a thin product that penetrates deep into the timber and treats it against wood-destroying pests. The first stage of protection.

Saturator — feeds the wood at the surface and keeps its tone, without forming a film.

Woodstain — a semi-opaque product that forms a thin film and gives UV protection. Recoating is needed once the film breaks down.
