Fitting a mosaic splashback
- Clean, flat substrate — degrease and fill any holes if needed.
- White C2 adhesive mortar, double-buttered (or an adhesive suited to wet areas).
- Lay the mesh-backed sheets 30 × 30 cm edge to edge, then bed them in with a float.
- Epoxy grout behind the sink and the hob for a watertight finish.
- Wash off the cement haze once dry.

Yes. Glass and above all metal stand up well to heat. Avoid untreated natural stone directly above the burners.
A mild household cleaner is enough. As for the grout, epoxy grout stays flawless and stain-proof, unlike traditional cement grout.
Yes, in porcelain stoneware with an epoxy grout for water tightness and hygiene. Make sure the substrate is rigid and flat.
A sheet of 30 × 30 cm covers ~0.09 m², i.e. about 11 sheets/m². Allow 10 % for offcuts.
