Which finish for which timber?
- Thermally modified pine / larch decking — exterior saturating oil every 2 to 4 years to keep the original tone.

- Interior timber — woodstain or clear varnish depending on use.
- Sauna — solvent-free speciality sauna oil.

Frequently asked questions

No — for thermally modified pine and larch, a wood oil is not required for durability. It only serves to preserve the original colour. Left untreated, the timber weathers to grey naturally.
Every 2 to 4 years depending on exposure (more often on full-south elevations or where driving rain is common). Apply to clean, dry timber, generally in two coats.
Apply a wood brightener (based on oxalic acid or mild oxidising agents), then rinse off. The timber recovers its original colour and is ready to take a wood oil.
