Exterior facade mouldings — EPS polystyrene and polyurethane

Our facade moulding range covers every exterior decorative element : cornices, pilasters, columns, window surrounds, rosettes, balusters, rustication blocks and corner quoins. Every piece is made of high-density expanded polystyrene covered with a UV-resistant polyurethane coating — a lightweight, durable and economical alternative to traditional fibrous plaster.

Why EPS polystyrene + PU coating ?

Our mouldings are built around a high-density EPS expanded polystyrene core, covered with a 3 to 4 mm layer of acrylic polyurethane coating. This composite offers an excellent weight-to-strength ratio — light enough not to overload the structure, and tough enough to withstand the weather (rain, frost, heat, UV).

Compared with traditional fibrous plaster or reconstituted stone, EPS + PU is 10 to 20 times lighter, rot-proof, unaffected by UV and goes up in a fraction of the time by simple bonding.

Moulding families

  • Exterior cornices — wall coping, running string course, modern and crowned cornices, plinth cornices.
  • Window decoration — window mouldings, full sill, keystone, pediment, brackets, sill moulding.
  • Decorative pilasters — flat pilasters fixed to the wall, with matching capital and base.
  • Decorative columns — free-standing round or fluted columns, with matching capital and base.
  • Cladding and facing — corner quoins, rustication blocks, 3D panels and borders.
  • Architectural ornament — rosettes, balusters, decorative corbels, multi-purpose profiles.
  • Paints & adhesives — matching installation and finishing products.

Simple bonded installation

All our elements are fitted by bonding with a special exterior adhesive sealant : apply a bead to the back of the piece and press it gently against the substrate. Excess adhesive is wiped off with a damp cloth. On bulky pieces, add a few hammer-in anchors to back up the bonding.

The mouldings are delivered ready to paint : one coat of primer, then an acrylic facade paint suitable for exterior use — in the shade of your choice.

15 to 25 years on average, depending on exposure and the quality of the installation. The polyurethane coating resists UV, water, frost and light impacts. Expanded polystyrene does not rot and does not degrade over time.
Yes, and it is even recommended for a high-end finish. Apply an exterior acrylic façade paint after a primer. Any colour you like — from neutral white to stone shades, tone-on-tone or contrasting depending on the façade.
By bonding with a special exterior adhesive sealant: a bead on the back, press onto the wall, wipe off the excess. For bulky pieces, add hammer-in plugs as a supplement. Our dedicated paints and adhesives are available in the Paints & Adhesives category.
A pilaster is a flat element fixed directly against the wall, forming a rectangular projection. A decorative column is free-standing, with a round or fluted section, placed in front of or beside the façade.
The impact-resistant versions (thick PU layer) are designed to withstand everyday knocks (a broom, a ball, and so on). In high-risk areas (walkways, shoulder height), choose pieces with a reinforced PU layer.
